We are an upscale pizza restaurant and we are searching for an energetic and passionate General Manager. The General Manager is responsible for managing the entire operations of our restaurant, including the selection, development and performance management of employees. In addition, they oversee the inventory and ordering of food and supplies, optimize profits and ensure that guests receive an exceptional dining experience. The General Manager reports to the Director of Operations.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage all areas of the restaurant and make final decisions on matters of importance.
  • Adhere to company standards and service levels to increase sales and minimize costs, including food, beverage, supply, utility, and labor costs.
  • Responsibly handle cash, including but not limited to assigning drawers, computing employee checkouts, and delivering bank deposits.
  • Responsible for ensuring that all financial (invoices, reporting) and personnel/payroll related to administrative duties are completed accurately, on time and in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain professional restaurant image, including restaurant cleanliness, proper uniforms, and appearance standards.
  • Ensure positive guests service in all areas. Respond to complaints, taking all appropriate actions to turn dissatisfied guests into return guests.
  • Ensure that proper security procedures are in place to protect employees, guests, and company assets.
    Interview hourly employees.
  • Direct hiring, supervision, development and when necessary, termination of employees.
  • Conduct orientation and oversee the training of new team members.
  • Maintain organized and updated training schedules, programs, and materials for new employees.
  • Develop team members by providing feedback and establishing performance expectations.
  • Maintain an accurate and up-to-date plan of restaurants staffing needs.
  • Prepare schedules and ensure that the restaurant is staffed for all shifts.
  • Uphold standards of cleanliness per Health Code.

Qualifications

  • Substantial experience (3+ yrs) managing high-volume restaurants.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s licenses, be eligible to work in the United States and must agree to background check.
  • Fun, energetic, friendly, and passionate.
  • Possess strong leadership qualities.
  • Knowledge of computers (MS Word, Excel).
  • Proficient in the following dimensions of restaurant functions: food planning and preparation, purchasing, sanitation, safety, company policies, and procedures, personnel management, recordkeeping, and preparation of reports.
