Accounting and Financial back office firm specializing in working with the restaurant and hospitality industry, providing detailed financial reporting, and industry-focused operational knowledge is in need of a CPA – TAX MANAGER. HYBRID schedule.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- 7 years of tax experience (preparing/filing).
- Managing tax advisory services, tax compliance, and tax provision.
- Managing the whole tax department.
- Tax preparation, strategy and filing for individuals and companies.
- Maintain and monitor financial records/reports and check for inaccuracies.
- Ability to read, comprehend, and interpret financial reports.
- Participating in the proposal process for prospective clients.
- Assisting in developing, building, and managing professional client relationships.
- Ensure complete compliance with all state and federal regulations for corporate and individual (1120s, 1120c, 1065, 1040).
- Experience communicating with the IRS.
- Professionally assisting with managing, developing, and coaching tax staff.
Requirements:
- 7 Years of progressive and continuous tax experience in public accounting
- Software: Proficient with tax software, Engagement, QuickBooks, Excel and/or RIA Checkpoint required.
- Active CPA or EA license.
- Familiarity with U.S. federal, state, and local reporting requirements.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Identify and implement continual process improvements.
- Strong analytical, organization, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, deadlines, and budgets.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to adapt style and messaging to effectively communicate at all levels both within the client organization or firm.
